Goal Setting is my Jam!!

This is your one stop shop for everything to do with creating goals in your life, and then actually achieving them!

It’s time for you to develop your own personal goals, and then set about achieving them/

An easy list we all can relate to is the grocery list.

Do you have to get more than one thing from the shop? Maybe a list will be required? A scrap piece of paper or a brand new one, it doesn’t matter. The important thing to see here is how lists are very helpful in our everyday lives.

In developing this skill, we become capable to set big, wild, scary dreams and achieve them too!

It’s important to identify what you want. I didn’t know what I wanted for a long time. I wanted to please others more than myself so I would ask others what they wanted me to do or be, but it never made my heart sing like when i did things I really enjoyed like painting or going for a long run (this is a former joy haha – I no longer run haha)

I often ask myself:

If I could do or be anything at all right now, if there was no limit to what I could be doing, what would it be?

(This helps me find what I’m really aligned with and can be as simple as going for a swim in the ocean)

or

What makes me feel good?

(write everything you enjoy and write like no one is going to see your list)

As well as achieving goals, I’m also great at NOT achieving my goals!

It’s important to identify if you really want something or not.

Quite often when you aren’t achieving something, you really don’t want it bad enough. This is why it’s important to continuously reassess if you have the same goals and to adjust them accordingly. Goals can move and change as flexibly as your life needs.

The most important thing to know is there are no wrong ‘lists’ or goals.

As Nike so eloquently put it: just do it! …and let me know how you go!
